House backup
Choosing a power station for a family house
In a house, an outage can take away lighting, running water and heating controls together. Choosing backup starts with understanding which system does what.

Quick answer
Separate essential and deferrable loads: communications, lighting, refrigeration, heating controls and water need individual assessment. Pumps require startup checks, while fixed home circuits need professional design. Choose from the actual energy budget rather than floor area.
REVIEWS ON OTHER PLATFORMS
What buyers share — with links to their photos
These are brief summaries of public reviews. The platform purchase label and attached photos were checked; author identities and reported results were not independently verified. These are not our interviews or tests.
Describes a household appliance set and convenient app controls.
Simultaneous operation is not established. This does not prove compatibility with every pump or boiler.
Mentions home backup, size, weight and fan operation.
The account’s connection description is not an instruction. Fixed circuits require qualified design.

Fictional household scenario · not a customer account
When this becomes a household question
Picture a winter evening in a house. Torches can replace lamps, but the boiler needs electricity and the water supply depends on a pump. The family is considering a large station without knowing the pump’s startup requirements. That missing detail may decide whether the purchase works at all.
Break the house into tasks
First budget communications and lighting, then refrigeration and the electrical part of the heating system. Treat water supply as another task with its own requirements. This shows what each extra level of comfort demands. “Powers a house” says little without a device list and a duration.
The boiler and pump need different checks
A gas boiler is not an electric space heater; its electrical task and consumption differ. A pump may also need a substantial brief starting current. Gather the manuals and ask a qualified professional about waveform, neutral, earthing and protection. A capacity calculator can estimate hours, but it cannot design a safe installation.
A worked example with explicit assumptions
This is an illustrative scenario, not a measurement of your appliances: 3,840 Wh capacity, 10% reserve, assumed 85% efficiency and 10 W idle draw. A 132 W average load gives approximately 20.91 hours. For a 12-hour target, the calculated nominal capacity is about 2,203.92 Wh. Startup demand and output limits require a separate check; this calculation does not establish compatibility.
| Device | Running W | Quantity | Duty cycle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator, assumed cycle | 120 | 1 | 35% |
| Boiler electrical load | 100 | 1 | 50% |
| Communications and lighting | 40 | 1 | 100% |
Think about the next outage too
When comparing F2400 and F3600 Pro, consider more than one night’s capacity. What charge will remain in the morning, and can it recover before the next interruption? Separate continuous essentials from tasks that can wait. Supplying fixed home circuits requires proper isolation from the grid and qualified electrical work.
Before you decide
- Agree essential circuits with the family.
- Check pump startup and boiler requirements.
- Have an electrician design safe transfer.
Common questions
Can one station power the whole house?
That depends on demand, energy and connection design. A portable station does not automatically support every circuit.
Does an expansion battery increase inverter output?
Do not assume so. Energy expansion and output expansion are separate system capabilities.
